of hair and heroines

Impulse decision! I got lowlights. For those of you not privy^1 to salon lingo, "low-lights" are where sections of your hair are dyed darker so you don't look like a bleached out paris hilton^2 wannabe. (of course,even at my blondest, I never did) I think that I like it, but I'm still a bit undecided. I also got it layered, which I think was a good move.

I won about 50 dollars in poker today. I feel yuppy^3 guilt because I'm sure that I'm taking money away from people who need it far more than I, but then I remember that they'll always be people willing to separate a fool from her/his money. It may as well be me. I won't spend it on crack at least, only on beer.

I have decided that Fleishman's Rum is bad. I got quite a headache^4 from it most of the day--ok that may have just been the fact that I drank way too much of it, and not the evil of the rum itself. But whatever. Fleishman's vodka is gross, but really cheap. I thought that rum usually is smoother than vodka, so it would be less gross^5. But, no. Still gross. I think that the rum was only like 7$ for a fairly sizable bottle--I guess you get what you pay for. If/When poker really does ruin my life^6, I will probably live off the stuff in an alley.
